Full digitalization for production optimization

Diva International utilized AVEVA to achieve full digitalization. This involved solutions for Operations Control and HMI (Human Machine Interface) for real-time monitoring and control of production lines and potentially Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to manage and optimize production activities, enforce workflows, and ensure quality.

Outcome: Full digitalization of production, leading to improved operational efficiency and control.

Digitizing Ÿnsect Amiens factory

The digitization involved AVEVA Operations control and the AVEVA Flex subscription to meet its needs for operations management with tools for equipment and data supervision and control, as well as for managing and executing production operations (MES) and digitizing knowledge and skills.

Outcome: Successful digitization of the Amiens factory, enhancing operational efficiency and potentially enabling better traceability and quality control for their specialized production.

Henkel harnesses its big data to drive sustainability and boost energy efficiency

Working with AVEVA, the Laundry & Home Care division deployed a digital backbone to capture a “single source of truth” to help manage its sustainability and OEE performance.

Outcome: Reduced year-on-year energy consumption, by up to 16% in 2020, on top of other on-going reduction measures. Annual energy cost savings are growing, reaching an incremental €8 million, driven by digital analytics in 2020. Energy cost savings to date have topped €37 million. Reduction in filling line waste and elimination of all incorrect labelling resulting in 100% label quality. Improvements of 15% in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) after just two years.

Nestlé: Harnessing advanced analytics and real-time data in the cloud to enhance product quality and minimize waste

Deployed CONNECT and transferred data via AVEVA™ Historian. AVEVA™ Advanced Analytics was used to predict quality parameters of powder production and recommend optimal process setpoints, removing the need for resource[1]constrained on-premises systems to carry the additional burden of supporting this solution.

Outcome: A 10% savings on Nesquik powder in the trial, or 101g saved from every 1kg jar. Consistently tighter jar-to-jar weight variation. Improved product consistency and consumer satisfaction. Less product waste on production and packaging lines.

Solvay leverages AVEVA AI and Schneider edge to optimize performance

Solvay has been partnering with Schneider Electric for many years and worked with AVEVA through the open EcoStruxure Plant architecture to leverage AI to deliver more efficient operations.

Outcome: Increased productivity by reducing downtime through predictive maintenance, more effective and safer operator training using digital simulation, +4% synthetic rate of return (OEE).
